The Canyon Owyhee Library Group, Ltd. (COLG) consortium began in 1989 with seven libraries and was formerly called the Canyon Owyhee School Service Agency (COSSA) Library Group. In 1994 the name was changed to Canyon Owyhee Library Group, and in 2003 the name changed once again to Canyon Owhyee Library Group, Ltd. and has since grown to over 30 school, public, and private libraries.  COLG facilitates interlibrary loans and resource sharing between member libraries.  A video catalog was started in 1990 with 150 videos and has since grown to over 4,400 videos and DVD's.  Several COLG member libraries participate in resource sharing through LiLI Unlimited.  COLG is financed through dues from its members and occasional library grants.
